This is a broad, hands-on HR role where you will work closely with site leadership and managers, providing commercially focused people support while helping to develop an engaged, high-performing workforce. The position combines day to day operational HR with the opportunity to contribute to wider people initiatives, change projects and the continued development of the HR function.

What’s on Offer

  • £50,000 base salary
  • Annual bonus
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Company pension
  • 4 days on site and 1 day WFH
  • Broad exposure across both operational and strategic HR

The Role

As HR Business Partner, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with managers and senior stakeholders, providing practical HR advice and coaching.
  • Take the lead on a broad range of ER matters, including absence, performance, grievance and disciplinary cases.
  • Support organisational change, business improvement projects and evolving people initiatives.
  • Use HR data and people metrics to identify trends and help inform workforce and business decisions.
  • Support the attraction and retention of talent across both operational and professional functions.
  • Play an active role in succession planning, talent reviews and performance development.
  • Identify development needs and support learning initiatives across the site.
  • Help create an engaging, inclusive and positive working environment through wellbeing, culture and DE&I activity.
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation, company policies and relevant industry requirements.
  • Support managers through change, providing clear communication and maintaining employee engagement throughout the process.

About You

We are looking for someone who can combine strong operational HR knowledge with the confidence to influence and partner with managers across the business.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience operating at HR Business Partner level, ideally within food manufacturing, FMCG, manufacturing or another fast-paced operational environment.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
  • Experience supporting business change and HR improvement projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to coach and develop managers.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements.

Why This Role?

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who wants to develop their career within a growing manufacturing business. You’ll have the scope to make a genuine impact at site level while gaining exposure to wider people projects, business change and strategic HR activity offering plenty of opportunity for continued career growth and development.
