Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, enterprise reporting, and analytics modernization.

The role will support a strategic transformation from legacy BI platforms to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, partnering closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, product owners, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis skills along with hands-on dashboard development, KPI design, reporting governance, and data storytelling experience.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or Analytics Consulting
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture
• Experience with Semantic Models
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and operational stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define success metrics
• Conduct discovery sessions, process reviews, and current-state dashboard assessments
• Translate business questions into:
  • Analytical requirements
  • User stories
  • Reporting specifications
• Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
• Support migration of legacy reporting assets to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
• Evaluate existing dashboards based on:
  • Usage
  • Business value
  • Relevance
  • Migration complexity
• Recommend whether reports should be migrated, enhanced, consolidated, or retired
• Document reporting dependencies, requirements, and stakeholder expectations
• Design intuitive and executive-ready Power BI dashboards
• Establish dashboard design and visualization standards
• Develop KPI frameworks, scorecards, operational dashboards, and executive reporting
• Support reporting governance, dataset ownership, and certification processes
• Promote standardized semantic models and trusted datasets
• Partner with data engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data governance standards
• Identify opportunities for automation, reporting standardization, and self-service analytics
• Monitor dashboard adoption and stakeholder feedback
• Support continuous improvement of enterprise reporting and analytics strategy
