Job description

Enterprise Architect
Fully remote
Duration: Long term contract
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior architecture leader and trusted advisor for enterprise content supply chain transformation initiatives.
  • Lead discovery with marketing, creative, brand, content operations, product and technology stakeholders.
  • Map the current-state content lifecycle: intake, planning, creation, review and approval, asset management, publishing, distribution and measurement.
  • Identify bottlenecks, duplicate tools, manual handoffs, governance gaps and content reuse failures.
  • Define current-state, transition-state and future-state content supply chain architectures.
  • Architect how AEM Sites and AEM Assets work together for authoring, asset reuse, Dynamic Media delivery and multi-site or multi-brand publishing.
  • Design how Adobe Workfront supports planning, intake, workflow, reviews and approvals, and how it connects to AEM Assets.
  • Where relevant, define how GenStudio and Firefly fit into governed content creation, variation and activation workflows.
  • Establish standards for metadata, taxonomy, permissions, digital rights, brand governance and content retention.
  • Design integrations between AEM, Workfront, Creative Cloud, and enterprise systems such as identity, PIM, CRM, commerce and analytics.
  • Define how content connects to downstream activation and measurement, such as Adobe Experience Platform, Journey Optimizer and Analytics, where the engagement requires it.
  • Develop phased roadmaps with implementation sequencing, dependencies, migration approach and investment recommendations.
  • Evaluate where Adobe, third-party or custom solutions should be used, and explain tradeoffs to senior stakeholders.
  • Guide solution architects, AEM and Workfront teams, and delivery leads so implementation stays aligned with the approved architecture.
  • Create and present architecture diagrams, content flow maps, roadmaps, decision documents and executive presentations.
  • Support presales discovery, RFP/RFI responses, proposals, estimates and account growth.
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, digital transformation or technology consulting.
  • Proven experience designing a large enterprise's content supply chain (how it plans, creates, manages and delivers content at scale, from intake through publishing); or, in place of that, deep Adobe Experience Cloud architecture experience, ideally with AEM.
  • Architecture ownership on enterprise Experience Manager implementations, with AEM Sites and AEM Assets the most important (AEM as a Cloud Service preferred).
  • Experience defining metadata models, taxonomy, permissions and governance for enterprise content and digital asset management.
  • Experience developing current-state, future-state and transition-state architectures and multiyear roadmaps.
  • Experience designing integrations between AEM and enterprise systems, including identity, creative tools, commerce, PIM, CRM or analytics.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native, API-first and composable architecture on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Client-facing consulting experience, including leading discovery and presenting recommendations to directors, vice presidents, CMOs, CIOs, CTOs or comparable executives.
  • Experience supporting presales solutioning, including RFP/RFI responses, estimates and architecture proposals.
  • Current or previously earned Adobe professional certification is required.
  • Ability to describe specific client projects, the architecture decisions they personally owned and the business outcomes delivered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workfront architecture or implementation experience, including Workfront Planning, intake, workflow and approval design.
  • Hands-on experience connecting Workfront to AEM Assets (native connector or Workfront Fusion).
  • Experience with Adobe GenStudio, GenStudio for Performance Marketing, Firefly Services or Firefly Custom Models in governed enterprise content workflows.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted or agentic content workflows, including Adobe Brand Intelligence.
  • Experience with review and approval, AEM Assets Content Hub, Dynamic Media, Brand Portal or Adobe Content Analytics.
  • Experience connecting content to activation and measurement through Adobe Experience Platform, Journey Optimizer, Customer Journey Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Adobe certifications in AEM Sites, AEM Assets or Workfront.
  • Experience with large-scale asset migrations (100,000+ assets) from legacy DAM platforms.
  • Consulting, systems integration or digital agency background.
  • Experience in regulated industries with asset rights, retention and audit requirements.
What Success Looks Like
  • Client leadership has a clear, achievable future-state content supply chain architecture and roadmap.
  • Content moves from request to publish with fewer handoffs, less duplication and faster cycle times.
  • AEM Sites, AEM Assets and Workfront operate as one connected content system rather than separate tools.
  • Metadata, rights and brand governance are defined early and enforced through the platform.
  • Delivery teams have clear architectural direction, standards and decision guardrails.
  • The client views this individual as a trusted strategic and technical advisor.
