 Position Summary

OpenText Exstream to design, develop, and support enterprise Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions for member, provider, and regulatory communications. This role will be responsible for delivering high-volume, mission-critical communications across print and digital channels using OpenText Exstream, ensuring compliance, scalability, and an exceptional member experience.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with OpenText Exstream development, platform upgrades, cloud migration initiatives, communication template design, workflow orchestration, output management, and production support. Experience within healthcare, insurance, or highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.

 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of customer communication solutions using OpenText Exstream.
• Develop and maintain high-volume batch and on-demand communications, including member notices, explanation of benefits (EOBs), enrollment materials, claims correspondence, billing communications, and regulatory documents.
• Design reusable communication components, templates, variables, business rules, and orchestration workflows.
• Support OpenText Exstream platform upgrades, migrations, and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, QA teams, and operational teams to gather requirements and deliver communication solutions.
• Configure and support communication generation, output management, archival, and distribution processes.
• Develop multilingual communication templates and localization strategies for diverse member populations.
• Integrate Exstream solutions with enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs and related technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Optimize document generation performance and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and release activities.
• Mentor junior developers and establish CCM development best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with OpenText Exstream / OpenText Communications.
• Hands-on experience with Exstream versions 8.x, 9.x, 16.x, and Cloud Native platforms.
• Strong experience developing high-volume and real-time document generation solutions.

• Experience with communication composition, document lifecycle management, output queues, and workflow orchestration.
• Strong understanding of batch processing and on-demand communication generation.
• Experience creating PDF, AFP, PostScript, email, and digital communication outputs.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, VBScript, Shell Scripting, and web service integrations.
• Experience with cloud, hybrid cloud, or cloud-native deployments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
• Experience leading development teams and mentoring peers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare payer experiences supporting member, provider, claims, enrollment, or compliance communications.
• Experience supporting CMS, HIPAA, ACA, Medicare, Medicaid, or state regulatory communications.
• Experience with document archival platforms such as Hyland OnBase.
• OpenText Exstream certification.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
