Job Description

A growing managed services provider is looking for a results-driven MSP Sales Representative to join its team. You will own the full sales cycle - from prospecting and discovery through proposal and close - while building lasting relationships that generate retention and referrals. This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

This position is built for a hunter who knows the managed services space. You understand how to speak to business owners and IT decision-makers, you can translate technical solutions into business value, and you know how to move deals forward without burning relationships.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in a quota-carrying, hunter-focused role
  • Direct experience selling managed IT services, networking, cybersecurity, or related technology solutions strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of prospecting and closing net new business
  • Comfortable presenting to business owners, CFOs, and IT leaders
  • Proficient with CRM platforms for pipeline tracking and forecasting
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable with strong follow-through
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client visits

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Familiarity with MSP service models, recurring revenue structures, and managed service agreements
  • Existing book of relationships in the New Jersey business community
  • Experience building proposals and solution presentations independently
  • Exposure to SMB sales in the greater NJ or metro market

What You Will Be Doing
  • Prospecting and generating net new business through outbound outreach, referrals, and local networking
  • Leading discovery conversations to uncover client pain points and align managed service solutions accordingly
  • Partnering with technical teams to build and deliver compelling, tailored proposals
  • Managing opportunities from first contact through negotiation and close
  • Maintaining an accurate and active pipeline in the CRM
  • Growing existing accounts through strong post-sale relationships and identifying upsell opportunities
  • Attending local networking events and business organizations to build presence and generate leads
  • Hitting and exceeding monthly and quarterly revenue and activity targets
  • Feeding market and competitive intelligence back to leadership to sharpen go-to-market strategy

  • 35% - Outbound prospecting, networking, and lead development
  • 25% - Client meetings, discovery calls, and presentations
  • 20% - Proposal development, follow-up, and deal advancement
  • 20% - CRM management, forecasting, and internal collaboration

Hybrid role based out of Monroe Township, NJ. Regular local travel for client meetings and prospecting is expected.
