Job Description

Salesforce Technical Architect
Remote - EST or Central time zone preferred
12 month - W2 (ONLY) Contract - No C2C or 3rd Parties
W2 Rate:  $90-100
Resumes must include full name, contact information and current address (City, State, & Zip Code) to be considered.
Must Haves:
  • 8+ years of Salesforce implementation experience, including 4+ years as a technical or solution architect.
    • Proven experience architecting at least two full-lifecycle Service Cloud implementations.
  • Integration architecture with MuleSoft or similar middleware, APIs, and event-driven patterns.
  • Salesforce architecture and best practices, including governor limits and Flow versus Apex and LWC.
  • Experience Cloud, including self-service portals for customers and employees.
  • Salesforce DevOps and release management tooling, such as DevOps Center, Copado, or Gearset.
  • Exceptional communication, including explaining trade-offs to executives and business users.

Milestone is hiring a Salesforce Technical Architect to own the design of ITSM implementations: core modules on Agentforce IT Service, data in Data 360, Agentforce agents on top, and HR Service Delivery. You will set the architecture, lead onshore and offshore teams through build, and be the senior technical voice with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
ARCHITECTURE AND STRATEGY
  • Own end-to-end solution architecture: scalability, security, performance, and post-go-live support.
  • Translate requirements into technical design, and document the key decisions and trade-offs.
  • Feed reusable patterns and lessons learned back into Milestone's Salesforce practice.

SOLUTION DESIGN
  • Design the core ITSM modules on Agentforce IT Service first: catalog and request fulfillment, incident,
  • problem, change, knowledge, CMDB, and SLAs.
  • Architect Data 360: ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, unification, and activation.
  • Layer Agentforce agents, topics, and actions over the modules and data, with guardrails and testing.
  • Extend the platform to HR Service Delivery on the same foundation.

INTEGRATION AND DATA MODELING
  • Govern integration architecture on MuleSoft or other middleware, by API, event, or batch pattern.
  • Own the data model, migration approach, and large-data-volume design, including data quality.
  • Design the security model: sharing, identity and SSO, and access for agents and integrations.

GOVERNANCE AND DELIVERY
  • Author and review technical designs, and act as design authority through build and testing.
  • Set development and release standards with other architects: source control, CI/CD, and environments.
  • Lead and mentor onshore and offshore developers and consultants, and clear technical blockers.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
  • Lead design workshops with client IT and business leadership to derive requirements.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Salesforce capabilities, limits, and roadmap.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 8+ years of Salesforce implementation experience, including 4+ years as a technical or solution architect.
  • Proven experience architecting at least two full-lifecycle Service Cloud implementations.
  • Integration architecture with MuleSoft or similar middleware, APIs, and event-driven patterns.
  • Experience planning and running data migrations with large data volumes.
  • Experience leading distributed onshore and offshore delivery teams.
  • Salesforce architecture and best practices, including governor limits and Flow versus Apex and LWC.
  • Experience Cloud, including self-service portals for customers and employees.
  • Sharing and visibility, identity (SSO, OAuth), and platform security.
  • Salesforce DevOps and release management tooling, such as DevOps Center, Copado, or Gearset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, including explaining trade-offs to executives and business users.
  • Comfortable making and defending design decisions, and revising them when the evidence changes.

Preferred Skills:
  • ITSM or HR Service Delivery implementation experience on ServiceNow or a similar platform (highly desired).
  • Hands-on delivery of Agentforce or Data 360 solutions.
  • Application Architect or System Architect credentials; Certified Technical Architect (CTA) a strong plus.
  • Agentforce Specialist, Data 360 Consultant, or Agentforce Service Consultant certifications.
  • Integration Architect or MuleSoft certification.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
