Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect / Principal Sales Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise storage, data center infrastructure, and customer-facing technical solution design.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise infrastructure technologies, presales engineering, and leading Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for large enterprise customers, cloud service providers, and hyperscalers.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can understand complex customer requirements, design scalable infrastructure solutions, validate architectures through PoCs, and present technical recommendations to customers and executive stakeholders.

Candidates must be local to Santa Clara, CA, and available to work onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise storage and data center infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements.

• Lead customer-facing technical discussions, discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, and architecture reviews.

• Plan and execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs), develop test plans, validate performance, and present results.

• Perform solution sizing and develop technical architectures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), proposals, and deployment plans.

• Work with enterprise storage platforms and block, file, and object storage architectures.

• Support infrastructure solutions involving servers, networking, virtualization, cloud-native technologies, and Kubernetes.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and manage technical escalations.

• Collaborate with sales, product management, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver effective customer solutions.

• Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and solution benefits to customers and executive stakeholders.

• Support infrastructure security, data protection, and business continuity requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise storage solutions and data center infrastructure.

• Proven experience in presales engineering, solutions architecture, or customer-facing systems engineering.

• Hands-on experience leading Proofs of Concept (PoCs), including test planning, validation, and results presentation.

• Strong knowledge of storage architectures, including block, file, and object storage.

• Experience designing infrastructure solutions, performing solution sizing, and developing technical architectures.

• Working knowledge of networking, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting, technical escalation management, and customer communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, product, architecture, and engineering teams.

• Must be local to Santa Clara, CA, and available to work onsite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise infrastructure vendors such as Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, IBM, or Cisco.

• Experience supporting hyperscalers, cloud service providers, neoclouds, AI infrastructure, or large enterprise customers.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.

• Exposure to GPU infrastructure, AI/ML workloads, and high-performance storage.

• Familiarity with Terraform, REST APIs, infrastructure automation, and infrastructure security.

• Experience preparing technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and deployment plans.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for Senior or Principal Sales Engineers, Solutions Architects, Field Systems Engineers, and Infrastructure Consultants who combine strong technical depth with customer-facing presales experience.

Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in project management or software product management, without hands-on enterprise infrastructure expertise, will not be a fit for this role.
