Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Koblenz, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading European energy infrastructure services provider, instrumental in driving the energy transition. This organization is at the forefront of building and modernizing substations, playing a crucial role in achieving climate protection goals. The Role • Execute new construction and modernization projects for medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations up to 380kV across Western Germany. • Commission and test electrical equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of substations and renewable energy integration. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams to drive improvements. • Configure and parameterize high-tech protection and field-control devices from leading manufacturers (Siemens, Schneider, ABB). • Utilize modern testing equipment from reputable manufacturers like OMICROM for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Contribute to the creation of a green future by supporting energy transmission and distribution projects, including wind and solar parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering. • Proven expertise in protection/control technology, ideally with independent commissioning experience of switchgear systems. • Familiarity with communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Proficiency with configuration software such as Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and testing software OMICROM TestUniverse is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent communication, decision-making skills, and a professional demeanor. • Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel typically Monday to Thursday within Western Germany.
