Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Supervisor to oversee the technology infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring our IT systems are secure, reliable, and effectively support our manufacturing and business operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, communicate effectively with employees at all levels, and provide both strategic direction and hands-on technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain company networks, servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, VPN, firewalls, and related systems.
- Provide technical support across multiple locations.
- Support manufacturing and production technology systems.
- Manage computers, mobile devices, phones, printers, software, and other IT equipment.
- Maintain cybersecurity, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems.
- Manage company websites and internal SharePoint sites.
- Lead IT projects, system upgrades, and technology improvements.
- Manage IT vendors, purchasing, asset tracking, and the annual IT budget.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Provide after-hours/weekend support as needed.
- Lead, coach, and develop the IT team, with a focus on clear responsibilities, strong technical capability, and individual growth.
- Oversee the reliable and effective delivery of the technology services and supporting technology environment.
- Provide technical leadership and serve as an escalation point for complex issues and significant incidents.
- Foster a service-oriented approach centered on ownership, responsiveness, communication, and the experience of the people we serve.
- Establish meaningful service measures that support visibility, decision-making, and ongoing refinement.
- Identify recurring issues and drive root-cause solutions.
- Oversee key IT operational practices including upgrades, patching, disaster recovery, asset management, change management, and vendor coordination.
- Partner closely with Information Security and business leaders to support the operational and strategic goals.
- Help shape and execute the technology roadmap and modernization efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years of IT experience, preferably in a multi-location or manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, cybersecurity, backups, and cloud technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and business-critical applications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide excellent customer service.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Serve as a top-tier escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Administer, and troubleshoot:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security)
- Core services: DNS, DHCP, Active Directory / Entra ID
- Networking: LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching (multi-vendor environment)
- Servers and virtualization (Windows Server, hypervisors)
- Storage platforms and backup/restore solutions
- Endpoint and access tooling: Cloudflare Zero Trust, Action1 patch management, CrowdStrike endpoint protection
- Operate within the enterprise ITSM platform and contribute to ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management practices.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.
