Job Description

Title: Lead Data Scientist/Analytics Lead-Full-time
Location - On-site in Boca Raton, FL
In addition to a strong benefits package they also give their employees paid time off the week between Christmas and New Year’s. Please see below for very detailed information for what type of candidate they are after:

The core issue: We aren’t looking for an  ML engineer or MLOps profile dressed up to look like analytics. The job is explicit about this… it says twice that this is NOT an ML engineering, MLOps, or model-deployment role.

If a resume is heavy on Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, drift detection, or RAG/LLM infrastructure build-out, that's the wrong profile, no matter how strong the resume looks otherwise.

What they actually want to see:

  • KPI ownership language — not just reporting on metrics, but owning them and being accountable for movement
  • A/B testing and experimentation experience, described as "I ran this test and here's what we decided," not "I built the testing infrastructure"
  • Dashboard work framed as decision-support (Tableau/Power BI used to inform leadership), not as a technical build
  • Comfort with messy, incomplete data — described in terms of judgment calls, not pipeline engineering
  • Clear business impact language: "this informed X decision" rather than "this improved model accuracy by X%"

One thing I don't want you to screen out: gaming/casino experience isn't actually required here, but it's a nice-to-have. Strong analytics people from streaming, subscription, fintech, or e-commerce backgrounds (churn, retention, monetization, experimentation) are a legitimate fit even with zero gaming experience. So, don't discard someone just because their background isn't games, discard them if their background is deployment/engineering instead of analytics

Data Scientist / Analytics Lead

We are seeking a highly agile Data Scientist to drive real-time insights that directly influence game performance, player behavior, and business decisions. This role requires someone who can think on their feet, connect patterns quickly, and translate data into action in a fast-moving gaming environment.

What This Role Does

  • Own game and business KPIs, from definition through ongoing optimization
  • Build and evolve dashboards and analytics used daily by Game Design and Leadership
  • Analyze player behavior, game performance, and experiments (A/B testing)
  • Quickly identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities — and act on them
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling stories that drive decisions
  • Partner closely with Game Designers, Product, and Management in a rapid-iteration environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to problem-solve independently
  • Comfort working with incomplete or evolving data
  • Experience influencing decisions, not just reporting numbers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Data Science, or related field
  • Proficiency with SQL, Tableau or Power BI, Excel, and Python or R
  • Experience with A/B testing and performance measurement

Nice to Have

  • Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, or AI
  • Familiarity with gaming or online player data (slots a plus)
  • Experience with Snowflake and modern data stacks
  • Master’s degree for senior-level candidates

Why This Role Is Different
This is not a back-office analytics role. Success requires speed, curiosity, and judgment — someone who can spot patterns fast, ask the right questions, and influence outcomes in real time.
