Job description

Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)

With our largest higher-education client we are building Student 360: one student profile that powers every touchpoint, from first inquiry through graduation. 's part of the portfolio includes an AI learning companion (Study Buddy) scaling to 1,000 courses, a student mentor, an AI course and program design pipeline, term-start automation, and the intelligence layer that ties them together.

As Head of Product, you own product strategy and definition for this learning and student-success suite. You make sure what we build is designed as a reusable, configurable product, not a one-off custom build, while the client's own Product Owners keep the final say on what goes live on their campuses. You are the product voice in an engineering-led services team, working at startup pace with real pilots and real students.

What you'll do

•        Own the product roadmap across the learning and student-success suite: Study Buddy, the Student 360 Mentor, adaptive learning integration, the course and program design pipeline, the marketing and lead-generation chatbot, and the intelligence layer.

•        Make build-for-reuse decisions: configuration versus customization, the tenancy model, and what is client-specific versus part of the core product.

•        Partner with the client's Product Owners on requirements. They own acceptance for what deploys on their campuses; you turn their needs into product definitions the team can build.

•        Direct 's UX capability toward product-grade design: a shared design system, tenant configurability, bilingual (English/Spanish) patterns and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, while keeping current delivery commitments on track.

•        Work as the product counterpart to the Solution Architect on tenancy, configuration boundaries and platform decisions, and with the Technical PM on reuse of shared platform components.

•        Represent on the client's biweekly Product Council alongside the client's Product Owners and other partners' product leads.

•        Shape positioning using the higher-ed landscape (for example Element451, Ocelot, EdSights) to decide where differentiates.

•        Define what "productized" means for : packaging, implementation playbook, documentation, and a security and compliance package strong enough for a university RFP.

•        Measure outcomes with the client: adoption, course success, retention and cost benefits, and use the data to set priorities.

What you bring

•        Higher-education domain expertise (required): a solid understanding of how universities work: the student lifecycle from recruitment and admissions through retention and graduation, academic governance (provost, faculty and curriculum committees), accreditation, and financial aid.

•        Working knowledge of higher-ed systems: SIS, LMS (such as Canvas), CRM for recruitment and student success, student portals, and how data flows between them.

•        Understanding of the sector's challenges: enrollment pressure, retention and completion, student support at scale, faculty adoption of new tools, FERPA, and long, committee-driven buying cycles.

•        Bilingual English and Spanish (strongly preferred): many client executives and stakeholders are Spanish-speaking, and you will lead workshops, demos and roadmap reviews in both languages.

•        8–12 years in product management, including senior ownership of a product roadmap.

•        At least one B2B SaaS product taken from a single customer to a multi-tenant, multi-customer product.

•        A record of making configuration-versus-customization and tenancy decisions, and making them stick with engineering and clients.

•        Hands-on experience shipping AI or ML products, ideally LLM-based assistants or agents, including how they are evaluated, monitored and governed.

•        Comfort as the lone product voice in an engineering-led or services-led company.

•        Strong requirements and prioritization discipline, with experience working alongside client-side product owners.

•        Clear writing and executive communication.

•        Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

•        Product roles at an ed-tech company, or prior work inside a university (for example in academic affairs, student services or IT).

•        Experience with Hispanic-Serving Institutions or Puerto Rico and Latin American higher education.

•        Experience building accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA) and bilingual products.

•        Experience packaging a product for university RFPs and HECVAT security reviews: implementation playbooks, documentation, security and compliance materials.
