Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to manage and oversee testing activities for complex Integrated Eligibility System initiatives within a Health and Human Services environment. This role will lead quality assurance processes, testing teams, deliverables, stakeholder coordination, and reporting while ensuring adherence to established testing strategies, standards, and best practices.
Duties
- Manage and oversee quality assurance activities across complex program areas and workstreams.
- Lead adherence to program-level testing strategies, quality assurance processes, artifacts, standards, and tools.
- Manage quality assurance teams and oversee testing deliverables.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, users, project teams, executive stakeholders, and other business partners to ensure testing aligns with business needs.
- Review testing deliverables to ensure system testing and delivery align with documented requirements.
- Produce testing status reports, metrics, and updates for management and project teams.
- Manage test environments, test accounts, and test data in accordance with testing best practices.
- Oversee blended teams consisting of internal and external resources.
- Manage testing activities across multiple high-profile projects and complex functional domains.
- Support test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Identify testing risks, issues, and dependencies and communicate them to appropriate stakeholders.
- Perform other related quality assurance duties as assigned.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working on complex projects, including 2+ years of experience in a leadership role as a Tester or Quality Assurance professional.
- 7+ years of experience in quality assurance managing testing across multiple high-profile projects with complex functional domains in a matrixed organization.
- Experience reporting and presenting testing status, risks, and results to stakeholders and senior management.
- 1+ year of experience working within an Integrated Eligibility System program across multiple workstreams, including eligibility-related case management, in a Health and Human Services environment.
- Strong experience managing quality assurance teams, testing activities, deliverables, and testing processes.
- Experience managing test environments, test accounts, and test data.
- Experience reviewing testing deliverables to ensure alignment with business and functional requirements.
- Experience coordinating with subject matter experts, end users, technical teams, project teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Associate’s degree or combination of experience and education.
Desirable Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience developing testing deliverables, including test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and defect reporting documentation.
- 3+ years of experience using automated testing tools such as Selenium.
- 3+ years of experience using defect tracking and test planning tools such as Jira, Jira-related plug-ins, HP Application Lifecycle Management, or Quality Center.
- 3+ years of experience using JavaScript or related programming languages to develop automated test script solutions.
- 3+ years of experience creating testing reports, dashboards, and metrics using Jira or comparable tools.
