Junior Snowflake Administrator (Production Support)
Overview
We are seeking a Junior Snowflake Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our Snowflake environment. This is a production support role focused on user administration, access management, warehouse monitoring, troubleshooting, and platform operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting Snowflake in an enterprise environment and understands security, governance, and operational best practices.
What You'll Do

• Administer Snowflake users, roles, and grants following least-privilege RBAC principles
• Create, modify, and remove user access while supporting access reviews and audit requests
• Support SCIM-based user provisioning and deprovisioning processes
• Assist with SSO, MFA, and identity management integrations
• Manage databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, and related Snowflake objects
• Apply and validate role grants, future grants, and object privileges
• Monitor and manage virtual warehouses, including sizing, suspension, and resource utilization
• Investigate failed queries, performance issues, and user-reported platform problems
• Monitor credit consumption and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency
• Assist with Time Travel, cloning, recovery requests, and resource monitor configurations
• Respond to support tickets and production incidents in accordance with established procedures
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support processes
• Partner with data engineers, analysts, security teams, and business users to resolve Snowflake-related issues

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on Snowflake administration, production support, or cloud data platform support experience
• Experience creating and managing Snowflake users, roles, grants, and permissions
• Strong understanding of Snowflake RBAC and security concepts
• Experience supporting SCIM provisioning and identity management processes
• Familiarity with SSO and MFA administration
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to troubleshoot queries and investigate issues
• Experience using Snowsight and worksheet-based administration
• Familiarity with ACCOUNT_USAGE and INFORMATION_SCHEMA views
• Experience monitoring warehouse performance, resource utilization, and credit consumption
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to follow operational procedures and escalate issues appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise identity providers such as Azure AD / Entra ID or Okta
• Experience with SCIM integrations and automated user lifecycle management
• Familiarity with network policies, masking policies, and row-access policies
• Exposure to Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, and data sharing
• Experience supporting data warehouse or cloud database environments in production
• SnowPro Core Certification or progress toward certification

Candidates may come from Snowflake Administration, Database Administration, Data Platform Support, Cloud Operations, Production Support, Identity & Access Management, or Data Engineering support environments, provided they have hands-on Snowflake administration experience.
