Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer to support critical business applications and ensure the stability, security, and reliability of enterprise file transfer and integration environments. This role will focus on maintaining and enhancing secure data exchange processes that directly impact business operations, contract performance, compliance, and delivery timelines.
The team operates in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. This role will work closely with technical teams, business partners, clients, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, support integrations, and maintain reliable file transfer operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise managed file transfer (MFT) integrations and secure data exchange processes.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SFTP and Sterling Connect file transfer processes.
- Support SecureFX workflows and SFTP operations involving Tomcat, Java-based scripting, VShell, and automated SFTP cleanup processes.
- Manage and support Oracle Java JRE environments.
- Monitor file transfer environments and troubleshoot issues using Splunk monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.
- Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to maintain operational stability.
- Partner with internal teams, clients, and vendors to resolve integration and file transfer issues.
- Support a fast-paced, multi-platform environment that may require occasional off-hours response for critical technical issues.

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of application development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies within mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across complex technical environments while meeting project goals and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaboratively within a technical team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management concepts and practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools.
- Comfortable working in a customer-focused, project-oriented, multi-platform environment.
