Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong Data Migration experience to lead and coordinate data migration initiatives for our client in Waukegan, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, data migration, stakeholder coordination, planning, and execution of complex technology projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects from planning through implementation and post-migration support.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with business, technical, data, application, and infrastructure teams.
• Manage data migration activities including data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and loading.
• Track project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate migration schedules, cutover activities, testing, and production deployment.
• Work closely with technical teams to identify and resolve migration-related issues.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Manage project documentation, RAID logs, status reports, meeting minutes, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate UAT, data validation, defect resolution, and business sign-off.
• Manage communication across multiple teams and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
• Strong hands-on experience managing Data Migration projects.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise application/data migrations.
• Strong understanding of ETL, data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience managing migration testing, UAT, cutover, and go-live activities.
• Strong stakeholder and cross-functional team management skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project/Smartsheet or similar project management tools.
