Delivery Lead/Project Manager
Hybrid Working - Edinburgh OR London - 2 days a week on site.

Lorien's leading banking client is looking for a Delivery Lead / Project Manager to lead complex technology and business change within a large-scale banking environment.
The role will work across Technology, Business and Architecture , taking ownership of broader programme outcomes and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery capability , operating effectively in dynamic environments where requirements and delivery structures may initially be undefined. This is not an infrastructure role.
This role is based in Edinburgh or London.
This role will be Via Umbrella.
Working in a Hybrid Model of 2 days a week on site.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex end-to-end technology and business transformation programmes .
• Partner with Technology and Business stakeholders to define and deliver programme outcomes.
• Work closely with Architects and senior stakeholders to support the initial design, strategy and direction of delivery.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear delivery plans, milestones and outcomes.
• Manage delivery across multiple technology areas, teams and dependencies.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, establishing credibility and trust across the organisation.
• Manage programme risks, issues, dependencies and governance , ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution.
• Provide clear reporting and communication on progress, priorities and delivery challenges.
• Work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments , bringing structure and direction where required.
• Take a pragmatic, hands-on approach to driving delivery and resolving challenges.

Key Experience & Skills

• Strong experience as a Delivery Lead, Senior Project Manager or Technology Programme Manager .
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology transformation from a broader programme/outcome perspective.
• Experience delivering across multiple technology disciplines rather than specialising solely in areas such as Cloud or Infrastructure.
• Strong strategic delivery background with experience shaping programmes during their early stages.
• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building and influencing skills .
• Comfortable operating in complex, fast-moving environments with ambiguity.
• Strong understanding of Digital and Cloud technology transformation .
• Strong delivery governance, risk management and problem-solving capability.

Banking / Domain Experience
High Street / Retail Banking experience is highly preferred , ideally with exposure to:

• Digital & Mobile Banking
• Credit Cards & Loans
• Mortgages
• Retail Banking products and customer journeys
• Cloud / Digital Transformation

Experience within Financial Planning and/or Wealth Management would be advantageous.
