IT Senior Automation Test Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Testing Lead to support a critical Managed Care Transition Project for a State client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in healthcare claims testing, HIPAA X12 EDI transactions, test automation, and end-to-end QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead automation testing efforts for a critical, in-house State application.

• Assess requirements and develop test cases based on Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.

• Execute functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Develop and execute test scripts for HIPAA X12 EDI transactions, including 837I, 837P, and NCPDP D.0.

• Perform QA and testing of EDI applications and healthcare claims processing systems.

• Develop SQL queries to validate data and verify testing results.

• Design, script, and maintain automated test suites.

• Review, analyze, document, and report test results and defects.

• Use test and defect management tools such as HP ALM and JIRA.

• Test web applications and support end-user User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Collaborate with business teams to develop business and QA documentation.

• Work effectively with technical and business stakeholders while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience assessing requirements and developing test cases.

• 5+ years of experience executing functional, integration, and regression testing.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience testing EDI applications.

• 2+ years of experience developing and executing HIPAA X12 EDI transaction test scripts, including 837I, 837P, and NCPDP D.0.

• 3+ years of healthcare claims processing testing experience.

• 3+ years of web application testing experience.

• 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries.

• 1+ year of experience scripting automated test suites.

• 3+ years of experience analyzing and reporting test results.

• 2+ years of experience collaborating with business teams to develop business and QA documentation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage concurrent deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HP ALM and JIRA for test and defect management.

• Knowledge of Agile methodology, preferably with 2+ years of experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and business audiences.

• Experience coordinating UAT with end users and business stakeholders.
