Application Tester with Security Clearance

Application Tester Location: Washington, DC (hybrid - 3 days onsite) Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Status: Exempt   Overview: The Application Tester will be responsible for performing end‑to‑end testing and supporting the implementation of software applications across single‑function and multi‑function environments. This role ensures quality, usability, and functional reliability by executing a full range of testing activities and collaborating with development and UX teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct end‑to‑end testing on new and existing applications
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test scripts and test plans
• Perform multiple testing types, including:
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Manual testing
• Automated testing (Selenium)
• Unit testing
• System testing
• Validate system behavior, identify defects, and ensure requirements traceability
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to support application implementation
• Perform system-level testing with exposure to user experience (UX) considerations
• Use SQL for test data setup, validation, and troubleshooting
• Document defects, test results, and provide clear feedback for remediation Required Qualifications:
• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor degree in IT, Business or related field
• 3+ years' experience with UAT, manual and automated (Selenium) testing, unit and system testing
• Ability to create and execute test scripts and test documentation
• Basic-to-intermediate SQL scripting experience
• Familiarity with UX principles and system usability considerations
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical teams Compensation: $88,000 - $158,000
