Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Trier, Germany | Hybrid

This employer is a respected leader in the energy infrastructure sector, actively contributing to the energy transition and shaping a sustainable future. They are seeking a skilled professional to join their High Voltage/Substations division. This role offers the chance to work on critical projects, driving innovation in medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations across Western Germany.

The Role • Commission and test electrical equipment in medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations up to 380kV. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams. • Configure and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Utilize modern testing equipment for the precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Support new construction and modernization projects, including renewable energy integration. • Contribute to the successful implementation of the energy transition for clients.

What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven expertise in protection/control technology, with experience in switchgear commissioning. • Familiarity with communication standards like IEC 60870-5-101/103/104. • Proficiency in parameterization software (e.g., Siemens DIGSI, Schneider MICOM) and testing software (e.g., OMICROM Test Universe). • Strong team player with excellent communication and decision-making skills, fluent in German. • Valid driver's license Class B and willingness to travel (typically Mon-Thu).
