Job Description

The Information Technology Division requests a short term staff augmentation to support critical artificial intelligence initiatives currently underway at the DPS. The requested AI/ML Engineer will supplement existing staff capacity and provide specialized expertise necessary to meet accelerated delivery timelines for multiple enterprise level priorities.

 

DPS is simultaneously advancing four major objectives:

• Implementing an enterprise search solution to improve information retrieval across DPS systems.

• Deploying the AI inventory and monitoring system (Darwin).

• Developing and operationalizing various AI agents to improve internal efficiency and public‑facing services.

• Establishing and enforcing AI governance to ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and statewide technology policies.
