SAP AI Architect with around 15+ years of overall experience, have 10+ years of experience BTP Architecting & development and with minimum 2+ years of experience in SAP AI design and development , with minimum 1 project experience

The SAP AI Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering enterprise-grade AI architectures on the SAP platform. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, data management, and AI technology — translating SAP''s integrated vision of applications, data, and AI into scalable, responsible architectures. The SAP AI Architect plays a critical role in aligning SAP RISE,  SAP BTP, SAP Business AI and Joule Agents to enable business innovate & realize value of SAP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Architecture Design: Design and govern end-to-end AI architectures across SAP''s application, data, and AI layers — spanning Joule & Joule Agents, Embedded AI capabilities, and AI Foundation on SAP BTP.
• Enterprise AI Strategy: Align AI initiatives with enterprise business objectives, ensuring AI is embedded into end-to-end journeys such as SAP Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Hire-to-Retire, and Design-to-Operate.
• AI Foundation Implementation: Architect and oversee the deployment of SAP AI Foundation components including SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, Generative AI Hub, SAP Document AI, SAP Knowledge Graph, and Joule Studio.
• Data & Knowledge Layer Design: Design data consolidation strategies using SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud — including the Vector Engine for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns and the Knowledge Graph Engine for semantic business reasoning.
• Pro-Code Agent Development Oversight: Guide development teams in building pro-code agents on SAP BTP using SAP Cloud SDK for AI and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), integrating with Generative AI Hub and enterprise services.
• Security, Compliance & Governance: Ensure AI solutions adhere to SAP''s "Relevant, Reliable, and Responsible" AI principles, including data privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and ethical AI frameworks.
• Integration Architecture: Define connectivity and integration patterns using SAP Connectivity Service, SAP Destination Service, and OData/REST APIs to connect AI agents with SAP S/4HANA.  Experience in other SAP Cloud products like Ariba is good to have.
• Stakeholder Enablement: Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to translate AI use cases into actionable architectural blueprints and implementation roadmaps.

Required Skills

• SAP BTP Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform, including SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, and Generative AI Hub.
• SAP Business AI Portfolio: Strong understanding of SAP Business AI building blocks — Joule, Joule Agents, Embedded AI, and AI Foundation — and how they work together to deliver business value.
• AI/ML Architecture: Proven experience designing AI/ML solutions including MLOps, model lifecycle management, predictive models, and generative AI patterns (RAG, grounding, orchestration).
• SAP HANA Cloud: Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Cloud, including the Predictive Analysis Library (PAL), Automated Predictive Library (APL), and Vector Engine for generative AI use cases.
• Enterprise Architecture: Experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect with a track record of aligning IT architecture to strategic business objectives across SAP landscapes.
• Integration & Connectivity: Proficiency in SAP integration patterns, OData/REST APIs, SAP Cloud Connector, and SAP Destination Service. [6]
• Security & Compliance: Familiarity with SAP BTP security features, data privacy standards, and AI ethics frameworks including EU AI Act considerations where applicable.
• Programming & Development: Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript; experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AG2 (AutoGen), CrewAI, or Smolagents is advantageous.

Key Qualifications :

• 2+ year SAP AI Architect / Development: Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI solutions using SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, and/or Generative AI Hub on SAP BTP. SAP certification as an SAP BTP Solution Architect or equivalent SAP AI/BTP certification.
• 1 Hands on project delivery experience.
• Familiarity with SAP Knowledge Graph and SAP Foundation Model for grounding AI agents in enterprise business data
• Hands-on experience with Joule Studio''s Agent Builder for extending Joule skills and building custom agents.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in Cloud Foundry, Kyma, or Kubernetes environments on SAP BTP
• Background in SAP Document AI for automating business document processing (invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes)
