Help As an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/INET), GS-2210-12, you will serves as a principal expert and the authoritative source for software application development providing project leadership to lower-graded specialists. Determine feasibility of the requested applications. Analyze National Guard Bureau (NGB), agency and locally developed standard/stovepipe systems to determine needed additions. Develop reports on the status of projects. Develop and document internal Standard Operating Procedures/Instructions (SOP/SOIs) for application development. Determine overall technical design and structure of websites and web-based applications. Attend conferences and seminars that deal with Software Engineering and application development. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

• Applicant must complete a Baseline Pre-Placement Screening for General Schedule positions within 30 days of appointment.
• Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate Tricare Reserve Select eligibility.
• Position requires a secret security clearance.
• This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

Qualifications Military Grades: E-4 through E-6 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months specialized experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies which demonstrate the likelihood to perform successfully the duties of the position and is related to the work of the position to be filled; these knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies are normally attained through the equivalent of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of GS-11; or experience obtained through other means; demonstratable knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies may be typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT or other means.

At a minimum, you must have a bachelors degree in one of the following concentrations:

• Bachelors in Information Technology - Bachelors in Cybersecurity - Bachelors in Information Systems - Bachelors in Data Science - Bachelors in Software Engineering Education Bachelors Degree in one of the following concentrations:
• Bachelors in Information Technology - Bachelors in Cybersecurity - Bachelors in Information Systems - Bachelors in Data Science - Bachelors in Software Engineering Note 1: Your degree must be from an ABET accredited or NCAE-C designated institution in order to fulfill the educational requirement for this position.
