- Position Title: Senior Cloud Engineer (Cloud Systems Integration Engineer)
- Clearance Level: Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) • Location: Arlington, VA
- Reporting To: Lead for Digital Environments, APEX
- Travel: ~15-25% Role Overview :
Responsibilities
- Architecture & Deployment: Technical lead for deploying APEX KM/DM into the JCDE/Morpheus cloud environment, integration of edge compute capabilities.
- Enterprise Integration: Negotiate feature requests, data schemas, and API integrations with external JCDE/Morpheus and other DoW networks / databases.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Oversee implementation of NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC security frameworks (DoDI 8500.01 requirements). Navigate the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to achieve and maintain Authorities to Operate (ATO) (DoDI 8510.01 requirements).
- DevSecOps: Implement and manage secure CI/CD pipelines and network layouts optimized for high and low side operations.
- Experimentation Support: Onsite support at experimentation locations for the deployment and use of APEX KM/DM capabilities and as a technical SME for technologies that utilize cloud, networking, distributed processes, and databases.
Support development and use of assessment frameworks for the assessments of technologies. • Technical Liaison: Support the APEX by translating mission requirements into technical specifications for enterprise IT partners.
Experience Requirements
Professional Experience:
- Professional Experience: Senior level preferred (8-10+ years); exceptional Mid-level candidates (5+ years) with direct DoW experience.
- DoD Process Mastery: Proven track record with DoW approval processes, specifically DevSecOps, ATO lifecycles, and RMF documentation.
- Cloud & Networking: Extensive program management experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and complex network layout/routing on classified networks.
- Database Proficiency: Familiarity with DoW database management and data architecture to support Knowledge Management tools.
- Mission Understanding: Experience in Test & Evaluation (T&E) or Mission Engineering environments is highly desirable to ensure technical solutions meet mission goals.
Education & Certifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Certifications:
- DoD 8570.01-M/8140 Compliance: Must meet IAT/IAM Level II or III requirements (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or CISM).
- Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert is preferred.
