Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Capacity Manager to join a large-scale technology and operations environment. This role will focus on ensuring services, infrastructure, and applications have the capacity required to meet both current and future business demand, while reducing the risk of performance issues and service disruption.
Rate: up to 600pd inside ir35 via umbrella
Hybrid: Fully Remote
Duration: 4 months initial
MUST BE CURRENTLY SC CLEARED
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor service, infrastructure, and application capacity trends across the estate.
- Identify potential capacity constraints and performance risks before they impact users or services.
- Coordinate capacity planning activities with technical and operational teams.
- Support major incident management by assessing capacity and resilience impacts.
- Contribute to service recovery planning where capacity and performance are affected.
- Produce demand forecasts and growth plans to support strategic decision-making.
- Escalate capacity-related risks and issues to operational and leadership stakeholders.
- Maintain capacity dashboards, reports, and continuous improvement plans.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Capacity Management within a complex IT environment.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, application performance, and service management principles.
- Experience producing capacity forecasts, utilisation reports, and risk assessments.
- Ability to work across multiple technical teams and engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting major incidents and operational resilience activities.
