Sr. UX Designer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. UX Designer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD.

Join our firm's UX practice to solve complex problems and deliver exceptional user experiences. You'll help lead cross-functional product teams from discovery to launch using modern tools and AI to work smarter and deliver measurable value.
Looking for someone seeking unique product challenges demanding your creativity and problem-solving skills, working with emerging technologies, and doing work that serves public interest.

Responsibilities :

• Design intuitive, scalable solutions in Figma or equivalent within our design system
• Lead user research and translate insights into actionable product improvements
• Champion accessibility and usability across our product portfolio
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate prototyping and influence product strategy
• Balance innovation with consistency across multiple products
• Communicate design decisions and value clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• Thrive in ambiguity and lean in to curiosity
• Be flexible, adaptable, and resourceful in the face of shifting priorities
• Champion usability

Required Skills :

• 3-6 years of UX design experience with a strong portfolio
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered design tools
• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Deep understanding of UX best practices and WCAG/508 accessibility standards
• Exceptional communication skills and strategic thinking
• Ability to make informed decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
