At Talkspace, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and belonging-centered workplace where everyone can thrive while making a difference in mental health. Want to help over two million people receive quality mental healthcare? Come join our mission of getting therapy in the hands of everyone!

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to join our Product team. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering to design new features and funnels, as well as evolve existing customer-facing product lines across all platforms. You'll bring thoughtful, user-centered thinking to projects ranging from focused feature work to end-to-end flows, reporting into our Director of UX. To work at Talkspace, you need to be as passionate as we are about our work, and excited to partner with us on delivering quality mental healthcare.

This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC.

What You’ll Do

  • Design end-to-end user experiences across web, iOS, and Android — from early concept and user flows through wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready design files
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to scope, design, and ship new features and funnels, as well as improvements to existing customer-facing product lines
  • Design and support conversion and growth experiments (e.g., onboarding, sign-up, and checkout flows) as well as features that drive engagement and retention and reduce churn
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, and maintain organized, up-to-date design files and documentation
  • Contribute to and help evolve Talkspace's design system, ensuring consistency and reusability across platforms
  • Support and help execute user research and usability testing; translate findings and data-driven insights into concrete design decisions
  • Apply accessibility and platform-specific best practices (iOS, Android, Web) to ensure designs are intuitive, inclusive, and technically feasible
  • Incorporate motion, audio, and animation thoughtfully where they improve the user experience
  • Present design rationale and recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, incorporating feedback and building consensus
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data/Analytics, and Brand to ensure designs are aligned, technically sound, and on-brand
  • Stay current on UX, interaction design, and visual design trends, bringing fresh thinking to the team

About You

  • 4+ years of experience as a UX Designer creating digital-first products (iOS, Android, and web), ideally in mass-market digital consumer products/apps, subscription-based, or e-commerce. Prior experience with digital healthcare/behavioral health is a plus
  • Experience designing a variety of project types and features, including but not limited to: conversion and growth experiments, and consumer-focused features that drive engagement, retention, and reduce churn
  • Experience supporting or executing user research and usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design decisions
  • Solid understanding of iOS, Android, and Web standard UX/UI practices
  • Strong proficiency in Figma (Sketch a plus)

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision plans
  • Pre-tax benefits: HSA/ FSA
  • 401k Retirement Savings Program with matching up to 4%
  • Voluntary benefits including disability, basic life or pet insurance, etc.
  • Monthly Wellness Stipend to promote mental and physical self-care
  • Flexible PTO and Remote First Environment
