Job Description

Job Title: Oracel DBA / Database Administrator 
Location : Pheonix , AZ - Hybrid 
Experience: 7+ Years

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator with strong hands-on experience in enterprise database administration, production support, performance tuning, automation, and cloud database technologies. The ideal candidate will support mission-critical database environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 7+ years of enterprise database administration and production support experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DBA and/or other enterprise databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

  • Expertise in SQL performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of High Availability (HA), replication, backup/recovery, and Disaster Recovery (DR).

  • Experience with cloud or distributed databases such as AWS Aurora, Google Cloud Spanner, or YugabyteDB.

  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix, Shell scripting, and Python automation.

  • Experience with database monitoring, patching, security, and capacity management.

  • Ability to manage critical production incidents and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, AWR, and ASH.

  • DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and database automation.

  • Monitoring tools such as OEM and Grafana.

  • Experience with intelligent monitoring and AI-assisted incident automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support production databases in mission-critical environments.

  • Troubleshoot complex database issues and perform root cause analysis.

  • Optimize database performance, availability, and reliability.

  • Manage backups, recovery, replication, failover, and disaster recovery.

  • Implement automation, monitoring, security, and database maintenance solutions.
