Job Description

Job Title: IAM / Identity & Access Management Engineer

Job Type: Contract
Location: Remote – USA
Employment Type: W2 / C2C

Job Description:

We are seeking an IAM / Identity & Access Management Engineer with 8+ years of experience in IAM, identity administration, or security operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience with application onboarding, SSO, provisioning, access management, and identity lifecycle processes.

Required Skills:

  • 1–3 years of experience in IAM, Identity Administration, or Security Operations

  • Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts

  • SSO, SAML, OIDC, authentication and authorization

  • IAM concepts including MFA, RBAC, provisioning and JML

  • Application onboarding and access management

  • REST APIs and JSON field mapping

  • Basic PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting

  • User provisioning and de-provisioning

  • Access requests, approvals and access reviews

  • Troubleshooting authentication, provisioning and directory synchronization issues

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to maintain documentation, runbooks and knowledge base articles

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with IAM/IGA platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Entra ID/Azure AD, Ping Identity, or similar

  • Experience onboarding applications for SSO

  • Exposure to PAM tools and workflows

  • Knowledge of Least Privilege, Separation of Duties (SoD) and Zero Trust

  • Ability to read logs and troubleshoot authentication/provisioning errors

  • Security+ / SC-300 / SC-900 / ISC² CC / SSCP certification

Responsibilities:

  • Onboard applications to identity platforms using REST APIs and JSON

  • Configure SSO using SAML/OIDC

  • Support JML workflows and automated provisioning/de-provisioning

  • Manage group-based and role-based access

  • Process access requests and approvals

  • Support access certification campaigns and identity reviews

  • Troubleshoot provisioning, directory sync and entitlement issues

  • Maintain IAM documentation, runbooks and user guides

  • Assist with identity-related incidents and audits
