Senior Python Software Engineer
Location: Jersey City, NJ/Charlotte, NC/Plano, TX (Hybrid)
Role Overview
An experienced Senior Software Engineer is required to lead the design and development of complex technical requirements and web-based automation solutions. This position serves as a key contributor to strategic and critical workstream deliveries, ensuring the architecture remains flexible, modular, and adaptable. The successful candidate will define architectural visions, design for resiliency, and establish non-functional requirements to support strategic outcomes. This role involves delivering complex features, enabling development efficiencies, and providing technical thought leadership across multiple software implementations.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of web-based software solutions and network-defined automation.
• Define the architectural vision and target operating environment to support strategic business outcomes.
• Ensure system architecture is flexible, modular, adaptable, and designed for client resiliency.
• Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and development best practices.
• Develop solutions utilizing CLI and API integration with major network and security products.
• Apply both depth and breadth across technical competencies to deliver end-to-end solution designs.
• Execute continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines alongside automated software testing.
• Manage application risks and alignment with technical standards and controls.

Required Qualifications
Education: Technical background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Seven or more years of experience as a Software Engineer leading technical teams to design and develop software solutions.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in frontend and backend languages including Python, Go, Yang, NSO, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting. Expertise in Flask and FastAPI frameworks, multiprocessing, and multithreading application development is required. Candidates must possess deep understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and relational databases such as SQLite and MySQL. Familiarity with JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or Engineering.
• Exposure to diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
• Knowledge of network orchestration tools such as Itential, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Understanding of emerging software development trends, Network as a Service automation, and Cloud Services automation.
