Civil Project Engineer

GBR Recruitment Ltd are proudly working in exclusive partnership with a leading construction client (90% housing, 10% commercial &amp; industrial projects) recruiting for a Civil engineering professional, hiring for an experienced Civil Project Engineer / Planning Engineer to ensure every site development is technically ready for construction, delivered safely, compliantly &amp; efficiently, enabling the business to build high-quality homes &amp; other buildings OTIF &amp; meeting the construction programme goals &amp; within the set budget.<br />This key role could suit someone working as a Civil Planning Engineer, Civil Infrastructure Engineer, Civil Engineer, Planning Engineer, Drainage Engineer, Civil Project Engineer or Pre-Construction Engineer with experience of carrying out the below listed duties.<br />As the Civil Planning Engineer you will successfully provide civil engineering support for the Group’s development projects. Supporting site-based teams with technical queries &amp; providing practical civil engineering solutions in a timely manner.<br />Duties:

• Play a key role in all civil engineering schemes, ensuring they are delivered on programme, within the set budget &amp; to the required quality standards, enabling successful project delivery across all developments.
• Ensuring all statutory approvals from highways, drainage &amp; other adopting authorities are successfully negotiated &amp; secured in line with project programmes, ensuring construction can proceed without avoidable delays.
• Ensuring civil engineering designs consistently meet all relevant legislation, technical standards &amp; adopting authority requirements, reducing compliance risks &amp; avoiding the need for redesign.
• Playing a key role in civil works project management for all of group build projects across residential, commercial &amp; industrial schemes
• Engineering the correct specifications are in place in order to provide practical, buildable &amp; cost-effective solutions that optimise value while maintaining quality, compliance &amp; long-term performance.
• Ensuring external engineering consultants deliver coordinated, high-quality designs that meet project requirements, are issued on time &amp; minimise site queries, delays &amp; rework requirements.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times in line with H&amp;SE.<br />Attributes:
• Experience working as a Civil Planning Engineer, Civil Infrastructure Engineer, Civil Engineer, Planning Engineer, Drainage Engineer, Civil Project Engineer or Pre-Construction Engineer or similar.
• Posses a HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction or equivalent relevant hands on experience in a comparable role.
• Competency in AutoCAD &amp; civil engineering/drainage design software
