Quick Overview
Job Description
Site Engineer – Inverness
Location: Inverness / North Scotland
Attention
Site Engineer looking for your next opportunity in the North of Scotland?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a team delivering a range of Scottish Water infrastructure projects across Inverness and the wider North Scotland region.
This is an opportunity to work on essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects while developing your experience within a long-term framework environment.
Interest
The projects form part of a significant Scottish Water investment programme, with works across the North of Scotland covering a variety of civil engineering activities.
The wider programme includes projects involving pipelaying, drainage, refurbishment, replacement and capital maintenance of Scottish Water assets, giving engineers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio rather than being tied to one type of project.
You'll be working across multiple sites and projects in the region, providing the engineering and technical support required to successfully deliver the works.
Desire
We're looking for a Site Engineer with a solid background in civil engineering and site-based project delivery.
Previous water industry experience would be ideal, but strong candidates from wider civils and infrastructure backgrounds will also be considered.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting out works accurately and providing engineering control on site
Providing technical support to site teams and subcontractors
Coordinating engineering activities to support project delivery
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records
Identifying and resolving technical issues on site
Working closely with Site Agents, Sub Agents and Project Managers
Supporting the delivery of works safely, efficiently and to programme
Liaising with subcontractors and other project stakeholders
Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the required standards and specifications
The role would particularly suit an engineer who enjoys variety, responsibility and working on infrastructure projects that have a genuine impact on local communities.
With multiple projects across the region, there is also the opportunity to build further experience across different areas of the water and civils sector.
Action
If you're an experienced Site Engineer based in or around Inverness or the North of Scotland, we'd be keen to speak with you.
Water experience is advantageous, but strong civils and infrastructure experience will also be considered.
Apply today or contact Contract Scotland for a confidential discussion about the opportunity.
