responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and support HL7 v2.x interfaces in Epic Bridges and integration engines Cloverleaf, Rhapsody and InterSystems Ensemble

- Design, build, and support Epic Bridges interfaces and related interoperability workflows, including vendor interfaces connected to Epic.

- Perform message analysis, mapping, and troubleshooting for HL7 message types (ADT, MDM, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT, etc.), X12/EDI and resolve interface failures independently.

- Translate clinical/business requirements into HL7 mappings and integration specifications; create and maintain interface specs, mapping documents, diagrams and support guides.

- Perform Epic-side build/configuration changes in Bridges required to enable or modify interfaces.

- Support Epic upgrade cycles, including Nova Notes review, regression testing, and end-to-end validation.

- Monitor interface queues and transaction logs for errors/latency; coordinate remediation and communicate status and impact to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ensure data exchange complies with HIPAA and organizational security standards; support secure connectivity patterns as required.
