Length: 3-6 months

Position: Salesforce BA

Job Description:

The Salesforce Business Analyst sits within the Technology Organization and reports to the Salesforce/CRM Manager, working at the intersection of the business and the Salesforce platform. This role centers on Sales Cloud and lead management, translating how the sales, marketing, and design studio teams work into clear requirements, then partnering with Salesforce administrators and developers to build and deliver the solution.

Every lead runs through Salesforce from first contact through to a signed sale, which gives this role visibility across the business and a direct hand in how that journey gets supported. It is a role for someone who can sit with a business stakeholder, understand the problem underneath the request, and turn it into a solution the platform team can build.
What are the primary responsibilities?
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with sales, marketing, and design studio stakeholders to define Salesforce enhancements
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for Sales Cloud and lead management processes
  • Map current and future state business processes across the lead-to-sale journey
  • Partner with Salesforce administrators and developers on solution design, configuration, and testing
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation within an agile framework
  • Analyze Salesforce data, reports, and dashboards to support business decisions
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve application issues across Sales Cloud
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and support QA efforts for new Salesforce releases
  • Support release management and change control for Salesforce platform updates
  • Manage small project workstreams from initiation through go-live
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Technology Organization and business stakeholders on CRM initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned
Does this describe you?
  • Systems thinker who maps business processes end-to-end and quickly spots where workflow and technology don't line up
  • Builds strong relationships across sales, marketing, and design studio teams and listens closely to understand what stakeholders actually need
  • Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating easily between the two
  • Sets clear priorities, drives requirements to closure, and holds project timelines with urgency
  • Curious about the Salesforce platform and quick to spot opportunities for process improvement
  • Adapts well to shifting priorities across multiple workstreams while maintaining momentum
Do you have these qualifications?
Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, including at least 3 years focused on Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting requirements for Salesforce and lead management initiatives
  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • Experience with SDLC and agile frameworks, including epic, feature, and story processes
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
  • Strong process analysis and process mapping skills
  • Excellent collaboration and verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with SQL
Preferred:
  • Salesforce Business Analyst or Advanced Administrator certification
  • Agile practice certification, such as CSM or AAC
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations, such as marketing automation or ERP systems
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Data Cloud, Agentforce
  • Homebuilding or building products industry experience
