Job Description
We are seeking an Application Specialist to join our Underground Mining Technology team and support MineStar Fleet and Command for Underground systems at Freeport Indonesia. The role will be based in Perth or Brisbane on an international FIFO roster and will provide technical support, troubleshooting, system optimisation and training to help maximise system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities- Support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing performance of MineStar Fleet and Command for Underground systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network and communication system issues.
- Work closely with customer stakeholders to improve system utilisation, performance and reliability.
- Support Office Supervisors, Controllers, Technicians and site personnel in the day to day operation of MineStar systems.
- Assist with system installation, configuration, commissioning and upgrade activities.
- Monitor, analyse and report on system performance, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support quality assurance and quality control processes during deployments and system changes.
- Develop training materials, procedures and operational documentation.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer to customer personnel and internal stakeholders.
- Degree in IT, Mining Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience supporting mining technology, operational technology (OT), fleet management systems or similar technical systems.
- Strong understanding of computer networks, wireless communications and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in operational environments.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with customers and site personnel.
- Experience interpreting and analysing system performance data to support operational improvements.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive approach to learning, continuous improvement and customer support.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all visas, work permits and approvals required to work in Indonesia.

Other information:
- Candidate must be based in Australia and be able to obtain an Indonesian work visa.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires working onsite five days a week.
