We're currently supporting a major public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Content Designer to join a multidisciplinary User-Centred Design (UCD) team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale digital services that directly impact millions of users across the UK.

The Role

As a Content Designer, you will be responsible for creating clear, accessible and user-focused content that meets user needs while adhering to established content standards and design principles.

Working closely with researchers, designers, developers and product teams, you'll use evidence and user insight to shape content across digital services, ensuring a seamless and accessible user experience.

Key Experience Required

? Strong experience creating accessible, plain English content

? Experience applying content design standards, patterns and style guides

? Ability to use qualitative and quantitative research to inform content decisions

? Experience testing and iterating content based on user feedback

? Proven stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills

? Experience working within Agile delivery environments

? Experience working within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Experience

  • Government Digital Service (GDS) or wider public sector experience
  • Digital service delivery experience
  • Knowledge of User-Centred Design (UCD) methodologies
  • Experience with prototyping and design tools such as:
    • Figma
    • Mural
    • Lucid
    • Sketch

Additional Information

  • Rate: £380 per day
  • Contract: Inside IR35
  • Clearance: Must be SC eligible
  • Location: Manchester, Newcastle, Blackpool or Sheffield
  • Hybrid Working: On-site attendance typically required 1-2 times per month and for key sprint activities
  • Start Date: ASAP
