Technical Cyber Education & Awareness Manager
Location: Sheffield (Hybrid: 60% Office, 40% Remote)
Duration: 3 months
Umbrella Rate: £430.00 - £469.00 per day
Are you passionate about cybersecurity education and empowering technical teams? Our client, a leading organisation with over 250,000 employees, is seeking a dedicated Technical Cyber Education & Awareness Manager to help strengthen their cybersecurity culture across their technology functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead innovative training programmes, influence security practices, and work closely with a dynamic team to make a real impact.
What you'll be doing:
. Lead and develop cybersecurity training for high-risk technical roles, including developers, architects, and engineers.
. Expand and mature existing control programmes, integrating diverse technical audiences.
. Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams, Data Security, Vulnerability Management, and other stakeholders to design targeted learning solutions.
. Use data and insights to measure training impact, reducing incidents and vulnerabilities.
. Pilot new approaches, including third-party vendors, to enhance security awareness initiatives.
. Support communication efforts to foster a security-first mindset across technical teams.
What you'll bring:
. Strong relationship-building and persuasion skills, with experience working across multiple teams.
. Deep technical knowledge in application security, DevSecOps, or Identity and Access Management.
. Proven ability to design needs-based, measurable training solutions that reduce risk.
. Experience working with third-party training vendors and platforms is a plus.
. Solid understanding of security principles, common vulnerabilities, and emerging tech threats.
. Background in enabling large-scale initiatives for technologists with proven results.
Required Education & Certifications:
. Relevant technical qualifications in cybersecurity or related fields.
. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are desirable.
