Certified Project Manager

Our client seeks a strategic and collaborative Project Manager to lead public health interoperability initiatives. This role will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects that enhance data exchange between public health agencies, healthcare providers, and community partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health informatics, stakeholder engagement, and project management methodologies.

 Tasks:

·        Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets

·        Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure interoperability goals are met

·        Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations

·        Facilitate stakeholder meetings and communication strategies

·        Monitor project progress and prepare reports for leadership and funders

·        Identify and mitigate project risks and barriers

·        Promote adoption of interoperability tools and workflows

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

·        Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

 NOTE: Local candidates ONLY. Must be located within 1.5 hours of Lansing, MI. No relocation allowed. Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. (Wednesdays and Thursdays are required onsite days.)

Location: Lansing, MI  
Contract: 1 year

Skills Required:

·        8+ years - Experience in project management, preferably in public health or healthcare IT

·        Experience with Agile or Waterfall Methodologies

·        Familiarity with health data standards and public health systems

·        PMP certification

·        Bachelor’s degree in public health, Health Informatics, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Skills Desired – A plus to have:

·        CAPM or Agile certification

·        Experience with public health programs, clinical systems, or IT infrastructure
