DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to support the development, deployment, automation, and maintenance of software applications and cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to improve deployment processes, system reliability, scalability, and automation.

This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms, containerization, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Support cloud infrastructure and services using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Automate build, deployment, and infrastructure processes using scripting and DevOps tools.
• Work with development teams to integrate applications into automated deployment pipelines.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance and assist with troubleshooting issues.
• Manage source code repositories using Git and GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Assist with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Support Linux-based systems, server configuration, and basic networking.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Participate in incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and system improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
• Follow security, access-control, and software deployment best practices.

Required Skills

• Understanding of DevOps concepts and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Familiarity with application monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, and RDS.
• Kubernetes and Helm.
• Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or similar monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and load balancing.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and cloud security practices.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
• Relevant technical training, certifications, projects, or hands-on experience may also be considered.
