Job Description

Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Boston, MA – Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)
Duration: 12+ Months
Employment Type: W2 Only – No C2C / No 1099
Work Authorization: All valid work statuses considered

Important

Must be able to work onsite in Boston, MA 3 days per week.

Local candidates or candidates within a few hours of Boston are preferred.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 7+ years of experience and strong hands-on experience testing and automating Windows UI applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks for Windows and Web applications and strong knowledge of QA best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
  • Develop automated functional, regression, and smoke test suites.
  • Automate Windows UI and Web applications.
  • Evaluate automation tools and libraries and conduct POCs when needed.
  • Implement framework components such as logging, reporting, object repositories, configuration management, and data-driven testing.
  • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and test management tools.
  • Implement parallel test execution and improve automation stability and performance.
  • Establish QA automation standards and best practices.
  • Partner with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to define test coverage.
  • Create documentation and provide training and mentoring to QA team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • State Agency experience
  • ERP application testing
  • Transit scheduling/operations applications such as HASTUS, Trapeze FX, or Trapeze OPS
  • Web Load Testing experience
