Job Summary – Senior Business Systems Analyst

(Central Indiana, Local Candidates Only)

• Serve as a key liaison between business and IT, translating complex business needs into actionable technology and data solutions.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with multiple stakeholders to present solutions for organizational challenges.
• Act as a business relationship manager for specialized functional areas, providing leadership and strategic guidance for organizational change.
• Collaborate closely with IT and data teams (including Data Governance, Project Managers, QA Testers) to develop detailed, high-quality business requirements.
• Bridge communication gaps by translating technical concepts for business users and business objectives for technical teams.
• Lead system reengineering and process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and integration across the organization.
• Work cross-functionally to advance interoperability across agency systems, data, and processes.
• Document comprehensive business and user requirements ensuring completeness, clarity, and prevention of defects.
• Plan and document advanced system integrations at both enterprise and detailed levels, within governance frameworks.
• Support digital transformation efforts and help drive culture change within the organization.
• Manage stakeholder expectations to align and ensure successful delivery of solutions.
• Adhere to and promote governance practices across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years as a business analyst, consultant, or similar role in technology or government.
• Proven business analysis and problem-solving experience in consultative/project settings.
• Strong relationship management with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Extensive experience in business requirements and user story creation/documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Highly Desired Skills

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Salesforce, including business process support and requirements documentation.
• Experience collaborating in a Salesforce environment.
• Salesforce Certified Business Analyst certification.
