Job Description

Year Up United is seeking a Sales Specialist for our Training Program Internship within the Education & Training industry. In this role, you'll support partnership development, lead generation, and outreach to employers who can host and hire Year Up talent. Working closely with senior staff, you'll research prospects, prepare presentations, and track engagement in CRM tools. You'll gain hands-on experience in consultative sales, social-impact partnership building, and data-informed decision-making, all within an inclusive, mission-first culture focused on economic mobility for diverse young adults.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a structured sales training curriculum aligned with Year Up's mission and employer needs.
  • Facilitate interactive workshops, role-plays, and virtual sessions focused on core sales competencies such as prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing.
  • Coach and mentor program participants, providing individualized feedback on communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborate with program managers and instructional staff to integrate sales training into Year Up's broader academic and professional skills model.
  • Partner with employer organizations to ensure training content reflects real-world entry-level sales role requirements.
  • Develop digital learning materials, practice assignments, and assessments using adult learning best practices.
  • Track participant performance and learning metrics, using data to refine curriculum and instructional approaches.
  • Support employer engagement activities, including feedback collection, hiring conversations, and alignment of expectations.
  • Stay current on sales methodologies, CRM tools, and training techniques, and share best practices with the team.
  • Promote an inclusive, supportive, and growth-oriented learning environment that reflects Year Up's values.
