Location: Columbus, OH - 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic technology team focused on building and supporting scalable, enterprise-grade applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern microservices architectures, API development, cloud technologies, and event-driven systems within a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Build integrations with internal and external enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while participating in on-call support rotations.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support application deployments, release activities, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• Java 8+
• Spring Boot
• RESTful API development
• Microservices architecture
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with Splunk monitoring and production support.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Banking, Payments, or Financial Services environments.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services.
• Experience using ServiceNow and Azure Boards.
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular or React.
