We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Crossroads Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

Crossroads Veterinary Practice is a thriving three-site small animal practice serving High Wycombe, Hazlemere and Watlington. We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys variety, autonomy and strong clinical backing. Your time will be split mainly between High Wycombe and your nearest branch, with occasional cover across all sites. Branch work is sole charge, with a supportive wider team always just a phone call away.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

 

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

 

Working Pattern

*15 hours per week, permanently Fridays, with flexibility the rest of the week, possible overtime occassionally.
 

Key Responsibilities

You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
*Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
*Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and general pet care information.
*Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and laboratory results.
*Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
*Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
*Provide support during busy periods by helping with client communications and follow-ups.
