FCS Functional Tester

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced FCS Functional Tester to validate the upgrade of Liberty Utilities' Itron Field Collection System to version 4.7. The consultant will perform functional and non-functional testing to ensure that the upgraded system, field collection devices, mapping functionality, and related integrations operate as expected.

The role includes test planning, test case development, execution, defect management, retesting, and test documentation across Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for the FCS 4.7 upgrade.

• Execute functional and non-functional tests for the upgraded FCS environment.

• Support Functional Testing, SIT, and UAT.

• Validate field meter-reading workflows and data exchange with SAP.

• Test applicable functionality involving FC300 handheld devices and Itron MC3/MC4 Toughbooks.

• Validate relevant Bing Maps compatibility and field route display functionality.

• Log, track, and triage defects with technical and business teams.

• Perform defect retesting and regression testing.

• Prepare test execution reports, defect logs, and test result documentation.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience in functional testing of Itron Field Collection System (FCS) or a compatible collection system.

• Experience preparing test cases and executing functional tests.

• Experience in defect tracking, retesting, and test documentation.

• Understanding of system integration testing and user acceptance testing is preferred.
