Surgical Scheduler

• Location: Elk Grove Village, IL 
• Facility: Ascension Alexian Brothers
• Department: Operating Room
• Schedule: Day shift | Part-time

• Collaborates with physician offices to obtain the information necessary to schedule surgeries in accordance with departmental guidelines while accommodating physician preferences and patient needs.
• Assigns operating rooms, equipment, and block times to optimize resource utilization and support efficient surgical operations.
• Ensures accurate entry of patient demographic, billing, and insurance information into electronic medical records and coordinates with Patient Admitting as needed to prevent delays in scheduled procedures.
• Adjusts surgical schedules as needed to accommodate emergencies, changes in priorities, and other unforeseen circumstances.
