Senior Business Analyst

IDR is seeking a Senior Business Analyst. The role involves partnering with engineering teams responsible for application development in the Research Data Atlas program. The Business Analyst will be responsible for requirements management across the SDLC. This position combines hands-on analysis with collaboration across technical and business teams, supporting complex technology and data-focused initiatives. The role is remote.

Position Overview for the Senior Business Analyst:

• Partner with engineering teams to understand and translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and cross-functional discussions to gather and refine requirements.
• Support agile delivery processes including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing/UAT, and working closely with delivery teams.
• Support requirements management across the entire SDLC, ensuring clarity and completeness of documentation.
• Navigate ambiguity and complexity by independently structuring unclear problems, identifying gaps and dependencies, and driving work toward actionable decisions.

Requirements for the Senior Business Analyst:

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, supporting complex technology or data initiatives.
• Bachelor\'s degree in business analysis, business administration, engineering, information science, health, or a science-related field.
• Strong requirements analysis, eliciting, and translating business needs into user stories, workflows, and functional requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, and other technical teams.
• Agile delivery experience, including backlog refinement, story decomposition, sprint planning, testing/UAT, and collaboration with delivery teams.

Compensation: $48 - 50/hr W2
