Project Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Specialist in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Portfolio Support:

• Coordinate and track multiple initiatives across business and technology teams
• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and action items
• Maintain project plans, status updates, meeting notes, and project documentation
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables
• Support governance processes and portfolio management activities
• Assist in preparing materials for leadership reviews, steering committees, and strategic planning sessions

Business Analysis & Reporting:

• Gather, organize, and analyze operational and portfolio data from multiple sources
• Develop recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance summaries
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within project and operational data
• Support portfolio intake, prioritization, and reporting processes
• Compile insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
• 2-4 years of experience in project coordination, business analysis, consulting, PMO support, or related functions
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft PowerPoint

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Data analysis and reporting
• Presentation development
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, accept coaching, and adapt to evolving priorities
• Professional presence and confidence interacting with leadership stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
