This role leads a team of staff and volunteers delivering high quality community development and settlement programs for people from refugee backgrounds. The Team Leader - Community Development provides day to day leadership, supervision and support to staff and volunteers delivering a varied program of settlement, community development and engagement activities.
You will ensure programs are delivered safely, effectively and in alignment with organisational policies, quality standards and continuous improvement practices. You will also strengthen stakeholder relationships, support staff, and provide informed advice to the General Manager.

Essential Experience & Qualifications- Minimum 3 years' experience in leadership or team supervision
- Minimum Diploma in Social Work, Community Services, Social Sciences or related field
- Experience supporting diverse teams of staff and volunteers, including those with lived experience
- Strong understanding of systemic barriers affecting refugee and CALD communities
- Experience with client management systems, data reporting and documentation
- Excellent communication, time management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated empathy, cultural awareness and human centred practice

With a diverse team of 300 staff and volunteers who speak 60 languages, we deliver a wide range of services for older people and their carers, people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, young people, and families.
