Senior React Native Engineer

We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join an established product engineering team working on a customer-facing, banking-style mobile application.

You'll be joining an existing product where the core architecture,authentication and component library are already in place. The focus will be on building and shipping new customer-facing features across iOS and Android while maintaining strong standards around performance, reliability and code quality.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role suited to someone who can quickly understand an established mobile environment, take ownership of features end-to-end and contribute with minimal ramp-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and deliver new features within an established React Native mobile application
• Take features from requirements and design through development, testing and release
• Work within the existing application architecture, authentication model and component library
• Integrate mobile features with APIs and backend services
• Develop high-quality, reusable and maintainable mobile components
• Maintain strong standards around performance, reliability and code quality
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions and engineering decisions
• Collaborate closely with product, design and engineering teams
• Support production releases across iOS and Android
• Troubleshoot and resolve mobile application issues
• Take ownership of features end-to-end and contribute effectively within an established product environment

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong commercial experience with React Native
• Proven experience shipping production applications across iOS and Android
• Strong experience integrating mobile applications with APIs and backend services
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX
• Experience building reusable, component-based mobile applications
• Good understanding of testing and modern software engineering practices
• Strong code review and code quality practices
• Ability to independently take ownership of features from development through to release
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to contribute quickly with minimal ramp-up

• Experience with Expo
• Experience managing releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play
• Fintech, banking or lending experience
• Experience working with other regulated products
• Experience developing secure customer applications and handling sensitive customer data
• Experience working with established design systems or component libraries
