Job Description
Abbott Laboratories seeks a Cybersecurity Manager to lead security strategy and operations across its biotechnology and pharmaceutical ecosystem. In this role, you will design and implement security controls to protect sensitive data, manufacturing systems, and cloud platforms supporting life changing healthcare products. You will manage threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management while ensuring compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and healthcare regulations. Collaborating with IT, R&D, and business teams, you will embed security by design, guide a high performing security team, and help advance Abbott's mission of improving global health.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute cybersecurity strategy aligned to Abbott's biotech and pharmaceutical operations.
- Lead security operations, including monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
- Implement and manage security controls, tools, and policies across on prem and cloud environments.
- Oversee vulnerability management, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and pharma regulations (e.g., FDA, HIPAA) and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Partner with IT, R&D, manufacturing, and business leaders to embed security in products and processes.
- Manage third party and supply chain security risks.
- Lead and mentor cybersecurity analysts and engineers.
- Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs.
- Report on security posture, risks, and incidents to senior leadership.
